Climate change is already affecting the community we love. It’s time to take action.

As borough residents, we’re all worried about issues like rising heating costs, increased wilfire risk, permafrost and flood damage, and structural issues due to increased snowfall.

The FNSB Climate Action and Adaptation Plan would harness federal funding to address all of these issues and more, helping make our community safer and more resilient. We need to make sure the Borough Assembly knows how important this is to us.

We will be commenting during the open public comment section of the Borough Assembly meeting that starts at 6pm at the Borough Building, Juanita Helms Administration Center (JHAC) at 907 Terminal St. You can sign up shortly beforehand to comment on a sign-up sheet outside the Assembly Chambers. Showing up in person will make the most impact, but you can also attend via Zoom at this link.

If you have any questions or want to be involved in planning for this next stage of action, email .
