FCAC's Renewable Energy Working Group will be hosting a collaborative strategy session to plan and organize our GVEA campaign for the coming year. Most of us are member-owners of our co-op (we own it!), but roughly 63% of GVEA's power comes from dirty sources of coal and oil that pollute our air and endanger our climate. We can, and must, do better and hold our elected leaders accountable. This will be a longer meeting with food where we will explore appropriate goals, tactics, and benchmarks for demanding that GVEA rapidly transition to renewables. We will meet Thursday, September 12th, from 5:30-8 PM @ CCHRC. We will enjoy food from 5:30-6pm, then dive into our strategy session.
- If you can bring food to share, that would be very much appreciated! We will have gluten free and vegetarian/ vegan options.
- Please let Phil know if you are brining kids so we can provide childcare. We want to ensure everyone's voice is heard as we envision how to pressure our electric cooperative to clean up our grid
- Please reach out to any friends you think might be interested in GVEA organizing and cleaning up our grid. We need all hands on deck!
